The GICR e-learning Series
The GICR e-Learning Series aims to create a new legacy of learners by offering free, self-paced education and training in cancer surveillance. Here you can become a Global Certified Cancer Registrar and contribute to the mission of saving lives through reliable cancer data.
The GICR e-Learning Series consists of 16 self-paced modules that can be used for comprehensive training in the principles and practice of cancer registration. The modules are available in English, French and Spanish.
Each module concludes with a final quiz to measure learning. To receive a certificate of completion for a module, users must attain a grade of 80% on the final quiz. Learn more about the content of each module at the Course Syllabus.
Learn more about the levels of learning at the Learner Guide.
The GICR e-learning Series offers suggested learning streams that group together sessions within modules that are considered to provide the different levels of knowledge and skill needed for specific roles within the cancer registry. The streams are separated into three broad areas of knowledge and skill.

The IARC GICR Regional Hubs and the associated Centres of Expertise offer a network of IARG GICR Regional Trainers, The GICRNet.
